SVOD to overtake Pay Tv

Subscription video on-demand (SVOD) services are on cause to overtake pay television in the next three years with the likes of Amazon and Netflix leading the charge globally as well as geo-location based growing niche players whose primary focus is domestic and regional markets .As an industry insider in terms of streaming technology, compared to five years ago, online video streaming platforms have been expanding into emerging markets with localized content and user-friendly subscription methods offering many consumers entertainment alternatives including subscribing to streaming media and video on-demand services.I also think the appetite for paid content is increasing across the population and a confluence of forces is driving that .Dropping smartphone prices and improved 4G coverage have also contributed to heighten smartphone penetration and to a growth in Subscription Video on Demand services in different parts of the world. In a confidential research conducted by a major European

Addled by friend strip club metier

When a childhood friend told me in Aussie summer of 2017 that he will be leaving his banking career in Sydney to take up an upscale adult entertainment business job , I was stupefied. He shared a vision where both male and female patrons will enjoy the venue and its style of entertainment like no other place. I’m not a saint and have no reason to be judgmental of his decision to quit banking for strip club but there’s a certain anxiety that comes with being associated with a strip club. As a nephalist who likes to be away from social places I’m not exactly the target market for my friend’s business. Well, at least that’s what I thought until few days ago when we had a chinwag. He laboriously tried to explain how modern strip clubs have dropped their public image as seedy establishments on the fringes of mainstream life and according to his narrative they are places that people are joyfully entering and hardly anyone gets ashamed to admit they go to. His view is that best way to do that

Bint’s future munted by cocaine crave

Appetite for cocaine has seen dramatic labefaction of a bint that I have known for decades. We were at the same elementary school and afterwards she joined a Catholic school education while she lived in Adelaide with her uncle. It is a place where her cocaine use started and with time regularized it. With some income and pocket money from uncle she found the drug cocaine more accessible and affordable than in Melbourne . Sadly for her, journey of life ruination began and picked up pace. “A day consumption could cost me $100 to $140," she said. Recollecting on her introduction to the drug, she revealed at the time smoking cocaine seemed socially acceptable, but it led to a life-changing journey of intravenous cocaine use and jail.Cocaine she said can be taken in several ways including smoking, snorting and injecting but her preference was smoking. The use of cocaine stripped the dignity in her, confidence, self-esteem and it tore away her family, friends and destroyed her personal l

Excruciating story of filly’s booze life

Excessive booze is having a devastating impact on a filly’s life and her struggles are gut wrenching, she has a story of love, hate, co-dependency and entrapment. The pain in her life is palpable. If only she would acknowledge that she can do something about the problem by tackling the availability of alcohol. Recently, filly narrated how she was verbally abused by a bloke they were drinking together and just two months ago was physically hurt after being exposed to violence as a result of her abusing alcohol. The incidents include her being severely injured as a consequence of violence against her by particular drinkers in the friends she hangs out with and despite being in a well paying job, she is likely to suffer long-term problems including a lack of success at her career and social problems.Whether it’s an indifferent attitude to the excess consumption of alcohol, or her ignorance when it comes to the effect it has on her body, filly’s socially accepted drug is indeed destroying h

Bloke battling heart disease

A friend of more than two decades had a heart disease a well known cardiovascular disease several weeks back, but luckily he’s recovering well. Before his heart disease, he was a fit, led an active, healthy lifestyle, running almost daily and even competing in local races . About a month before his heart attack he experienced chest pains during a walk in the local park. “At first I thought I was just having a one off pain and would see it through. However the frequency of the chest pains increased, even while relaxing at the park,” he said. A chance chinwag with a female friend later that evening led to an appointment with a cardiologist following morning. A day later, heart disease became part of his life after he was diagnosed as having a near total blockage in his left anterior descending artery. He was told it was only a matter of a week before he would have suffered a massive and likely fatal heart attack. He is now so grateful that female lady chinwag was life saving otherwise eve

Cock and bull story of a skirt-chaser

Terminological inexactitudes are part of love relationships. In the era of alternative facts, they’ve become mainstream and wasn’t flabbergasted when a skirt chaser unleashed figment of the imagination about his dexterity in carnal knowledge for self-aggrandizement .It can be hard to determine whether skirt chaser achieves what he claims or not, as the only person actually telling me outright, its impossible to separate fiction from facts. And since he seems to be forthright with his romantic feelings about his girlfriend nowadays, he is going to have to instead look for signs he's a philanderer or not. Pain in the butt for girlfriend? Perhaps yes, perhaps no. Would I say he is prevalent characteristic of modern loverboy?I think yes.As a bloke myself, the tell-tale actions blokes tend to do when they like a girl are different from a decade ago. Nowadays, its about being like a porn star in bed, bragging about both the marathons and sprints. The days when girls played hard to get st

Old grudges die hard

Grudge which i prefer to call a chip on one's shoulder, is difficult for most people to let it go when they have disagreement with someone. In my case, I don't transfer umbrage and would rather move on. Of cause it depends with various factors, I forgive but I sure don't forget and there are somethings that have happened to me which cannot be said or undone and have left lasting deep scars that remind me of the hurt. In the past I’ve found it very challenging to forget and it is like a scar when someone badly hurts you. My mom taught me to always try to stop myself from saying heartless things in an argument because these things can't be unsaid. That hasn’t been the case with a female friend who has failed to shake off her grudge with former flame whom they separated three years ago. Cruel boyfriend dropped her despite repeated promises to marry her and eloped with her friend .My advice to her has been to drop grudges as soon as humanely possible as is probably the best

Lady friend struggle with breast cancer

Recently I learned that a childhood lady friend is struggling with breast cancer, as per my tradition, I made an effort to go see her. Found her seated in a hospital room filled with light and comfortable couches, a way of her masking the daily grapples she’s been waging against the disease . Hearing she has breast cancer was a devastating blow and like a lot of women has struggled with her diagnosis and the uncertainty it brings. As we spoke, her cheerful demeanor belies an 3-year grapple with the disease that started in 2015 when doctors found a 12 centimetre mass in her right breast.Breast cancer occurs predominantly in females, although in rare instances men can also develop the disease. According to her, breast cancer is a tumour that originates in the cells of the breast and develops when cells grow abnormally and multiply as it has happened to her. These abnormal cells developed into cancerous growths that can, in her case, it has not spread to other areas of her body. Luckily,
